Independence Day celebrations were held with patriotic fervour at Brindavan Gardens in Mahisha Nagaram of Mudhole constituency. The national flag was unfurled by a group of farmers, retired defence personnel and members associated with the Jai Jawan Seva Samithi.
Farmers Kunta Rajeshwar and Nimmala Gattanna from Kisan Galli, Jingarolla Poshetti from Korkabgalli, retired Army personnel Akula Gopal from Kisan Galli, Nerlwar Santosh and retired Army personnel Sanish from Kerala participated as chief guests and hoisted the Tricolour.
Speaking on the occasion, the participants recalled the sacrifices of freedom fighters and soldiers who dedicated their lives to protecting the nation. They stressed the importance of patriotism, unity and social responsibility and called upon the younger generation to uphold the values associated with India’s freedom struggle.
Jai Jawan Seva Samithi members Gali Rajanna, Palsi Ashok, Rajarapu Gajender, Kanikaram Srinivas, Gautham Pingle, Sundar Bhayya, Cherla Subhash, Thota Rajeshwar, Akula Rajender, Bandari Dilip, Bhima Shankar, Mullawar Anil, Bolchetti Rakesh, Meesava Madhu, Palsi Srikanth, Pendep Sainath and Kasarolla Praveen Kumar participated in the celebrations.
The programme concluded in a spirit of patriotism, with participants reaffirming their commitment to serving society and contributing to the welfare and progress of the nation.
