District Collector Bhavesh Mishra directed officials to make comprehensive arrangements for the Godavari Pushkaralu and complete all works according to a well-defined plan within the prescribed timelines. He stressed the need to ensure that devotees face no inconvenience during the major religious event.
The Collector participated in a video conference from the Collectorate meeting hall with the State Endowments Commissioner Hanumantha Rao and Collectors of several districts to review preparations and progress of works for the Godavari Pushkaralu. Following the conference, he held a review meeting with officials concerned.
Collector Bhavesh Mishra said a large number of devotees were expected to attend the Pushkaralu and instructed officials to complete all arrangements well in advance. He particularly emphasised the Basara Pushkar Ghat, where a significant influx of devotees is expected, and directed officials to provide facilities according to the anticipated crowd.
He instructed officials to ensure adequate drinking water, improved roads, toilets, changing rooms and other essential amenities for devotees. Repairs to Pushkar ghats should be taken up wherever required, with special priority given to the safety and security of devotees.
The Collector directed officials to continuously monitor every work being undertaken for the Pushkaralu and strictly maintain quality standards. He called for all works to be completed within the stipulated deadlines through effective coordination among departments, ensuring a safe, comfortable and well-organised experience for devotees.
