Union Health Minister J.P. Nadda has assured that the Centre will support the establishment of the proposed Quantum Bio Valley in Amaravati and positively responded to Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu’s proposal to accord it national recognition.
Speaking at a programme in Vijayawada on Saturday, Nadda said the Centre would send a technical team to Amaravati to discuss the initiative. He described Chandrababu Naidu’s vision for the Quantum Bio Valley as excellent and assured that various suggestions made by the Chief Minister would be examined.
Nadda also appreciated the Sanjeevani programme being implemented by the Andhra Pradesh government and said the Centre would examine the possibility of implementing the programme across the country. He assured continued support for initiatives focused on early disease detection and prevention, better treatment and affordable healthcare.
The Union Health Minister said Andhra Pradesh was in safe hands under the leadership of Chandrababu Naidu. Describing him as a visionary and committed leader, Nadda praised his contribution to the development of undivided Andhra Pradesh as well as the state after bifurcation.
Nadda appreciated the state government’s efforts to strengthen healthcare infrastructure and said coordinated efforts between the Centre and the state would help provide better medical services to the people. He also endorsed Chandrababu Naidu’s emphasis on considering the kitchen as a pharmacy and food as medicine, stressing the importance of healthy dietary habits and lifestyles in preventing diseases.
The Union Minister also appreciated Chandrababu Naidu’s commitment to irrigation development in Andhra Pradesh. He welcomed projects including the Polavaram Left Main Canal, Veligonda and Handri-Neeva, stating that efficient utilisation of water resources would contribute significantly to the state’s development.
